Position summary
Ph.D. topic is focused on the identification of biomarkers of lung diseases by means of a non-invasive collection of exhaled breath condensate. The project will monitor the presence of proteins in exhaled air in various diseases such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, lung tumors, or some infectious diseases, as well as quantitative changes of these proteins compared to a healthy population. Changes in these potential biomarkers with respect to therapeutic response and disease progression will be evaluated and validated.
