My undergraduate studies were focused on cancer genetics, with a bachelor's thesis "Molecular and genetic changes in glial tumours" and a master's thesis "Optimization of library technology for multi-parallel sequencing in the colorectal cancer diagnostics".
Now, my main research lies in the field of forensic epigenomics, especially DNA phenotyping and visual characteristic predictions.
I work on developing a model capable of predicting the age of an unknown person based on their DNA extracted from blood or semen samples. My main laboratory tools are bisulfite conversion and its alternatives, qPCR and multiparallel sequencing.
