Preparation of cell-based reporter assay for high-throughput screening of small molecules as potential receptor for advanced glycation endproducts inhibitors
Receptor for advanced glycation endproducts (RAGE) plays an important role in many pathological processes and thus represents potential for research and development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Pyrimidine appears attractive as a template for the design of novel small-molecule RAGE inhibitors in terms of the structural simplicity and the chemical stability. The main goal of the study is to assess the contribution of RAGE in pyrimidine derivatives induced signaling response.
